Lee Daniels' Precious is absolutely brilliant: ingenuous, raw, surprising and thoroughly warm.
Presumably he wouldn't have wanted it shown - especially at a major international film festival - with fluff, caught at the top of the projector lens, creating a fuzzy blob at the top of the screen throughout today's showing. And I was just coming round to the idea that the Vue Leicester Square were actually on top of things. It's terribly lazy.
On a less hectoring note, they've started to build the final day gala screening set in the Square itself. Excitement is building for the end of what has been a terrific fortnight of film.
